This Policy explains how Çağatay Erkin Eren ("we, "us," or "our") handles information when you use ColdLog: Plunge & Ice Bath (the "App"). ColdLog does not require an account and stores your session history on your device. Some analytics, diagnostic, and purchase information may be sent to the service providers described below.
ColdLog stores app records in a local SQLite database. These may include:
We do not operate an account-based service or upload your session records to a company-operated server. Your operating system may include app data in device backups according to your backup settings. Uninstalling the App may remove its local database from the device, while copies in backups may remain.
On iOS, ColdLog can request permission to read Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and heart-rate data from Apple Health. The current session recovery flow reads HRV samples to show before-and-after context. Any HRV values saved with a session remain in the local session record and may be included in an export you choose to share. ColdLog does not write data to Apple Health.
You can manage or revoke Health access in iOS Settings under Health and Data Access. Turning off the App's Apple Health feature does not itself revoke the permission granted by iOS.
In builds configured with an Aptabase app key, ColdLog sends product analytics events to Aptabase. These events may describe app screens and feature use, session type and entry point, session duration and temperature ranges, breathwork counts, weekly goals, streaks, export results, and paywall or purchase outcomes. Events may include simple flags such as whether a session had a note or mood value; they do not include the note text or mood value.
Analytics also receives limited HealthKit-derived status information: where a permission request came from and whether it was granted, and whether an HRV sample or before-and-after pair was available. Our custom Aptabase event calls do not send numeric HRV or heart-rate measurements. Aptabase may process anonymous session and technical context, such as app version, platform, or operating-system information. Aptabase describes its service as anonymous analytics that does not use persistent device identifiers. Aptabase derives an approximate country and region from the IP address of each request; the IP address itself is not stored.
The current App does not provide an in-app setting to turn off Aptabase analytics in builds where analytics is configured. Analytics is not initialized in builds without an Aptabase app key.
If a build is configured with a Sentry DSN, Sentry may receive crash and error reports, stack traces, and sampled performance information to help diagnose technical problems, together with device details such as device model and operating-system version. Sentry may also attach a random installation identifier generated by the SDK. This identifier resets when the App is reinstalled and is not an advertising identifier. Sentry's default personal information collection is disabled in the App, performance traces are sampled, and profiling is disabled. Builds without a Sentry DSN do not send Sentry diagnostics. If you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement information to verify access. This may include transaction or receipt data, product and entitlement status, and a pseudonymous RevenueCat App User ID. Apple App Store or Google Play processes payment details for the store purchase; we do not receive your full payment card number. You can export session records as CSV or JSON. An export may include session dates, type, temperature, duration, mood values, notes, and saved HRV measurements. The App creates the export when you request it and opens the operating system's share sheet. Any copy you send or save outside the App is handled by the receiving app or service under its own terms and privacy policy.

We use local records to provide session history, recovery context, goals, and exports. Aptabase supports product analytics; Sentry supports diagnostics when configured; RevenueCat and the app stores support purchases. We do not sell personal data, use session content for advertising, or use an advertising SDK in the App. Providers may process information in countries where they or their infrastructure operate and under their own privacy terms.
ColdLog is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information through a provider-backed feature.
We may update this Policy when the App or its data practices change. We will revise the date above and provide an in-app notice when required.
