Privacy Policy - Days Left: Life Calendar

1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Çağatay Erkin Eren handles information when you use Days Left: Life Calendar (the “App”). The App has no user account system, and we do not operate an app server that stores your events.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally using your device’s app storage:

• Events: event names, dates, recurrence rules, emojis, colors, reminder settings, and source details for imported events.
• Calendar imports: on iOS, when you start the calendar import flow and grant access, the App reads calendar event details such as titles, dates, calendar names and identifiers to show import candidates. Events you choose to import are saved in the App.
• Contact birthday imports: on iOS, when you start the contacts import flow and grant access, the App reads contact names and birthdays to show candidates. The import requests name and birthday fields, not phone numbers or email addresses. Imported birthdays and a local import key, which may contain the contact identifier used to avoid duplicate imports, are saved in the App.
• Preferences and app state: theme, language, reminder defaults, week-number preference, onboarding state, and purchase entitlement state.
• iOS home-screen widget: The App makes event identifiers, names, emojis, colors, dates, recurrence rules and custom recurrence settings available to the widget, along with your theme, glow, and language preferences. This data is stored in shared App Group UserDefaults on your device for the widget to read; the widget does not upload event details to a server. Analytics providers, when configured, may receive the separate usage data described in Section 6.

Calendar and Contacts access is requested only when you use the corresponding import feature. You choose which candidates to add. These imported details are used by the App on your device and are not sent to a server operated by us. You can revoke system permissions in your device settings and delete imported events from the App.

3. Backups and Restore

You can export a JSON backup of your events and selected preferences through the device share sheet, and restore a backup by selecting a file. A backup is created only when you choose to export it. If you share or store that file using another app or service, that provider’s privacy terms apply. Restore merges the backup into the App’s local data; it is not cloud synchronization with us.

4. Notifications

Event reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. The App does not use a remote push notification server. Notification permission is requested when you choose to set reminders, and you can change notification access in the App or your device settings. Delivery can depend on your operating system and notification settings.

5. Purchases

Purchases may include recurring subscriptions or a one-time unlock, depending on the options shown in the App and your store. Apple or Google Play processes payment, while RevenueCat is used to validate and restore purchase entitlements. These services may process purchase receipts, product and subscription status, an anonymous App User ID generated by the RevenueCat SDK, and store identifiers needed for those functions. We do not receive your full payment card details. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

6. Analytics and Diagnostics

Some builds may be configured to use the following services. They are enabled only when the corresponding key or DSN is included in that build:

• Aptabase: product analytics about app and feature use. When configured, analytics starts automatically when the App launches. Events may include screens and features used, event creation or deletion, recurrence and reminder flags, import source and permission results, import counts, theme selection, and purchase or restore status and billing cycle. The App’s custom analytics event properties do not include event names, event dates, contact identifiers, or calendar identifiers. Aptabase derives an approximate country and region from the IP address of each request; the IP address itself is not stored. The current App does not provide an in-app control to turn analytics off. • Sentry: error and crash diagnostics, which may include error messages, stack traces, app and device details, and sampled performance traces. Sentry may also attach a random installation identifier generated by the SDK. This identifier resets when the App is reinstalled and is not an advertising identifier. See Sentry’s Privacy Policy.

We do not use these services for advertising, and the App does not include third-party advertising SDKs. Service configuration and provider policies determine where analytics and diagnostic records are stored and how long they are retained. Aptabase events are not tied to an App account, so we may not be able to locate an individual analytics record for deletion.

7. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information. Information is processed by Apple or Google Play for store functions, RevenueCat for purchase entitlements, and—only in builds configured for them—Aptabase for analytics and Sentry for diagnostics. We do not send locally stored event or imported calendar/contact details to our own server.

8. Retention and Your Choices

• View and delete events, including imported events, within the App. You can also clear all events in Settings. The App cancels scheduled local reminders before removing each event; if reminder cancellation fails, the event remains saved so you can retry. Clearing events does not delete JSON backup files you previously exported.
• Revoke Calendar or Contacts access in your device settings.
• Turn reminders off in the App or device settings.
• Export a backup before uninstalling if you want to keep your local data. Uninstalling generally removes the App’s local storage, but does not remove files you exported or data held by third-party services.
• For privacy questions or requests under applicable law, contact us below. Purchase records are managed by the relevant store and provider; anonymous analytics may not be attributable to a specific person.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
