Our Privacy Philosophy: Your spiritual practice, reflections, and journal entries are personal. Grimoire is designed with a local-first approach so your personal content stays on your device.

2. Information You Provide (Local Data)

The following information is created by you and stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers, and we cannot read or access it:

• Book of Shadows / Journal Entries: Text, moods, intentions, dreams, ritual reflections, and personal notes you create.
• Tarot Readings: Card spreads, interpretations, notes, and saved reading history.
• Ritual Activity: Completed rituals, favorites, saved materials, and personal ritual notes.
• App Preferences: Language, theme, notification settings, onboarding status, and other local preferences.

Note: If you delete the app or lose your device without a device-level backup, locally stored content may be permanently lost.

3. Information Collected Automatically

To keep the app reliable, improve the experience, and manage premium features, we may collect limited technical and non-sensitive usage data:

Device, Diagnostic, and Usage Data:

• Device type, operating system version, app version, and locale.
• Crash logs and performance diagnostics to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
• Non-sensitive analytics events, such as feature usage or subscription screen interactions. We do not include journal text, tarot notes, ritual notes, or other personal spiritual content in analytics events.

Subscription Data:

• If you purchase a premium subscription, our third-party provider RevenueCat processes purchase status, entitlement information, and anonymous identifiers needed to unlock premium features. We do not process or store your credit card information.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services specifically for app functionality:

• RevenueCat: Used for managing in-app purchases, subscriptions, and premium entitlements securely.
• Apple / Google: Used for app distribution, payment processing, and any device-native backup features you enable.
• Expo: Used for delivering app updates and supporting technical app functionality.
• Sentry: Used for crash reporting and error monitoring.
• Mixpanel: Used for product analytics with non-sensitive event data only.

5. Data Security

Because your journal, tarot, ritual, and preference data primarily resides on your device, the security of this data depends on your device's security measures. We strongly recommend:

• Using a strong passcode or biometric lock (Face ID/Touch ID) on your phone.
• Keeping your operating system and the App up to date.
• Being mindful of who has physical access to your device.
• Using your device's backup features if you want restore protection.

6. Exporting and Sharing Your Data

The App may provide features to export or share your personal content. Once you export, save, or share content outside the App, it is no longer protected by the App's local environment. Please handle exported files and shared content securely.

7. Notifications

If you enable notifications, Grimoire may schedule local reminders for moon phases, rituals, daily practice, or other spiritual prompts. These notifications are controlled by your device settings and can be disabled at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Grimoire: Digital Book of Shadows is intended for individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are under 18, please use the App with parental or guardian consent where required by law.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and, if necessary, providing a notice within the App.

• Data linked to you: Subscription status and purchase history handled securely via Apple/Google and RevenueCat.
• Data not linked to you: Diagnostics, crash logs, and non-sensitive analytics used to keep the App reliable.
• User Content: Journal entries, tarot notes, ritual notes, favorites, and personal spiritual content are stored locally on your device and are not collected by us.
• Tracking: We do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.
