This Privacy Policy explains how Çağatay Erkin Eren ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use Grimoire: Digital Book of Shadows (the "App"). The App is designed to keep your journal and other personal practice records on your device. Some App features do send limited information to the service providers described below.
The App does not require an account and does not sync your personal records to a company-operated cloud account. Its local database may contain:
These records are stored locally and are not sent to our own account servers. Your operating system may include app data in device backups, depending on your backup settings and platform. If you uninstall the App, local records may be removed from the device; copies in a device backup may remain.
When you request a horoscope, the App sends the selected zodiac sign to Free Horoscope API as part of the request. The provider may also receive ordinary network information, such as your IP address and request headers. The horoscope response is cached locally for up to 24 hours.
In builds configured with an Aptabase app key, the App sends usage events to Aptabase. Events describe feature use and app interactions, and may include counts or simple status fields. When you change your zodiac setting, the selected sign is included in that event. The event payloads we create do not include the text of your journal entries or free-form tarot and ritual reflections. The SDK may attach an anonymous session identifier and technical context such as app version, platform, operating system, or locale. Aptabase describes its analytics as anonymous and says it does not use persistent device identifiers. Aptabase derives an approximate country and region from the IP address of each request; the IP address itself is not stored.
If a build is configured with a Sentry DSN, the App may send crash reports, error details, and sampled performance diagnostics to Sentry. These reports may include technical information needed to diagnose the problem, such as app version, operating system, device model, and stack traces. Sentry may also attach a random installation identifier generated by the SDK. This identifier resets when the App is reinstalled and is not an advertising identifier. Sentry is not configured in builds without a DSN.
If you buy or restore a subscription or one-time purchase, RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement information to verify access. This can include transaction or receipt information, product and subscription status, and an anonymous app-user identifier. If you enable reminders, the App schedules them on your device. These are local notifications; the App does not use a server to send them.

We do not use journal or reflection text for advertising. The App does not include an advertising feature or cross-app advertising tracker.
You may contact us to exercise privacy rights available under the laws that apply to you. Because Aptabase events are designed not to identify a specific user, we may not be able to locate or delete an individual analytics event.
We share information with the providers listed in this Policy only for the features they support, and when required by law or to protect the App and its users. Those providers may process information in countries other than your own and apply their own privacy terms. Please review their current policies using the links above.
Personal practice records remain in the App's local database until you delete them, remove the App, or your device otherwise removes them. The security of local records also depends on your device passcode, operating system, and backup settings. Information sent to third-party providers is retained according to their policies and service settings. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through a provider-backed feature, contact us so we can review the request.
We may update this Policy when the App or our data practices change. We will revise the date above and provide an in-app notice when required.
