1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Shadow Work Prompts & Journal. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Shadow Work is a mobile application designed to help users:

• Access guided prompts for self-reflection and shadow work
• Write and maintain personal digital journal entries
• Record and store personal voice notes
• Track moods and daily reflections
• Export personal entries for private use

3. Important Disclaimer: Not Professional Therapy

READ CAREFULLY: Shadow Work Prompts & Journal is a self-help and journaling tool. It is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• We do not provide psychological counseling, therapy, or mental health services.
• If you are experiencing severe psychological distress, trauma, or having thoughts of self-harm, please contact a licensed mental health professional or emergency services immediately.
• You are solely responsible for your emotional and psychological well-being while using the reflection prompts provided in the app.

4. User Content and Responsibilities

4.1 Your Journal Entries

• Ownership: You retain complete ownership of all text, voice notes, and data you create within the app ("User Content").
• Security: Because your User Content is deeply personal, it is primarily stored locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and regularly backing up your data using your device's native backup systems.

4.2 Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our subscription servers or bypass payment mechanisms

5. Payment and Subscription Terms

5.1 Free and Premium Features

• Free Features: Basic journaling and a limited selection of prompts are available free of charge.
• Premium Features (Packs/Subscriptions): Access to advanced prompt packs, unlimited voice notes, or PDF exports may require a premium subscription or one-time purchase.

5.2 Payment Processing

• App Stores: Payments are processed directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to securely manage subscription entitlements and verify your purchase status.
• Auto‑Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Refunds: All refunds are handled strictly by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies. We cannot issue direct refunds.

6. Intellectual Property

The Shadow Work app, including its original prompt content, design, features, and functionality (excluding User Content), are owned by us and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our prompt collections for commercial use.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

• "As Is" Service: The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
• Data Loss: Since data is stored locally on your device, we are not responsible for the loss of your journal entries or voice notes if your device is lost, damaged, or if the app is uninstalled without a backup.
• Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or psychological damages arising from your use of the prompts or the app.

8. Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good faith negotiations, and if necessary, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Türkiye.
